Are there any queers

If I had my way, I'd have all of you shot! That's the other version dear. This is track 1 of the album, the one you describe is track 21 TheUniversalSigh on April 06, General Comment Fool is a fool coz this aint nazi thats not the name and these definetly arent the lyrics.

General Comment yay! My Interpretation Seriously, this song is in the "crazy" part of the album where the main character Pink has gone insane, and he has been injected with some medicine by the doctor that is making him hallucinate. The whole thing about Nazism and racism is that he essentially becomes what killed his father in WWII: a fascist dictator like Hitler. It's supposed to be ironic and over the course of the next 2 songs "Run Like Hell" and "Waiting for the Worms" he becomes exactly like Hitler before realizes what's happened to his mind and sets things right.

General Comment This is the song they sing in the movie The Wall, near the end when he goes all nazi. Very Good Movie. General Comment This song is when his shows start become Neo-Nazi-esque political rallies, creating angry mobs. He has gone crazy behind his "wall". General Comment 1. It's 'In The Flesh? Artists - P. Rate These Lyrics. Both characters are rather positive portrayals of gay teenagers who are solidly supported by their parents.

They are both cast as oddities without being freaks and they are portrayed as having loving support networks. While the male character does reaffirm his homosexuality and declines the telephone number, it seems strange that gay boys in an all boys school still need to perform in front of straight women in order to legitimize the display of their sexual selves.

Just as in earlier incarnations, queer sexuality remains filtered through a heterosexual gaze and is articulated in heterosexual terms. The series was highly regarded not only by the gay community but also by the mainstream press.

The series was not without controversy — some people complained that the subject matter was inappropriate and others were upset that one of the characters was only 15 years old, while still others worried that it portrayed gay men as being over-sexed. But despite these criticisms, the series enjoyed international success: it aired on the Canadian specialty channel Showcase and also inspired an American version.

The financial success of early television programs like Queer as Folk is important because it paved the way for investors to take a chance on queer programming. Whereas anyone with a little money and equipment can put together a film, television is a much more expensive medium.

Unlike film, television relies on generating long term advertising money for investors, which means that networks and advertisers are generally looking for programs with as wide appeal as possible. This model may be the greatest hurdle to any minority group gaining widespread and fair exposure on television. That said, stations such as Showcase and HBO broadcast content created by queer people and Canada has its own queer channel.

Its mandate was to provide programming for the gay and lesbian community, which — despite recent advances — continues to be underserved by the current broadcasting system. In its application to the CRTC, PrideVision TV argued that its programming would contribute to the diversity of the Canadian broadcasting system and would provide a public service by challenging the prevalence of stereotypical media portrayals of gays and lesbians.

Ultimately, the CRTC intervened and ordered Shaw to let viewers access the preview as they would for any other station. OUTtv continues to operate, airing various programs from other networks, but it has not produced original content since , citing cost issues.

In Canada, despite the apparent wider acceptance of queer people by the mainstream, there is a dearth of queer representation on television. While Canada boasts a rich film and theatre tradition in which queer people are very much represented, there are almost no queer characters on television and only a handful of out queer media personalities.

While Rick Mercer, Gavin Crawford, Elvira Kurt, and Trevor Boris have all been successful in the realm of comedy, these performers are among the few exceptions in an otherwise overwhelmingly heterosexual Canadian television broadcast industry.

The Diversity and Media Toolbox is a comprehensive suite of resources that explores issues relating to stereotyping, bias and hate in mainstream media and on the Internet. The program includes professional development tutorials, lesson plans, interactive student modules and background articles.

Reception: Has a media product been widely embraced by queer people? Don't give up on your dream just because you aren't any good at it yet. Practice, practice, practice sweet cheeks. British politics are pretty messed up , too. I just think it's a little demented to have an "I hate Donald Trump" world tour.

I guess that's why he's your new hero. That's just semantics. If you believe Waters is all that but plan to keep your Dark Side of the Moon album because you like Pink Floyd that makes you a hypocrite. You think people that say trump sucks while they're on tour are wrong but when trump says everyone that's not a white man sucks he's right. Waters is not my NEW hero, btw. He's been my, and millions upon millions upon millions of people's hero for decades.

I like him more now that I know he's intelligent enough to see trump for what he is. If he is speaking out against the government corruption that we're witnessing on a daily basis then I'm glad they've never had a tour that wasn't SOLD OUT! You know what? I started to ask you how you could dislike them now just because of something he said or did but I did the same thing with Kid Rock and Nugent. Personally I wish they'd all just shut up and sing. I have not read anything about any new "I hate trump" tour so I wasn't sure whether you were serious or not.

Either way I didn't delete any of my music over their political opinion. I'm sorry but I can't keep disagreeing for no real reason. It's exhausting. I would still go see Floyd again though. No matter what their opinion because I love their music. My favorite was always The Dark Side of the Moon. I didn't discover them until the late 70's. One of my proudest moments was drawing the number chosen to get first pick at tickets when they were in San Diego decades ago. Sixth row center.
