Truth then began a comical conversation with a hypothetical child he created named "Lil' Jimmy", who enjoys R-Truth singing in dancing despite the fact that none of those kid-friendly antics put a championship belt around Truth's waist.
This was an awesome promo by R-Truth. Truth hit all the key points of his heel turn, and was entertaining in his exchanges with the fans without overdoing it. Many, myself included, were quick to criticize both R-Truth and John Morrison's mic skills as a result of their agonizing exchange from last week. However, once R-Truth was able to cut a promo by himself, free from the oratorical black hole that is John Morrison, he shined just as he did when he took matters into his own hands to turn heel last week.
Officials quickly ran down and contained Morrison, but Morrison broke free and attacked Truth once again before being corralled again. Morrison broke free for a second time before being held back by WWE officials. RAW went to break. This was indeed a good start for John Morrison, who got his heat back after taking quite the beating last week. Unfortunately, the appearance would be both the start and finish as Morrison was not featured on TV for the rest of the night.
Both The Miz and John Cena, who will be in the main event vs. I'm not sure the announcers even mentioned that Morrison would be competing in the main event, and even if they did, the general consensus is that Morrison has zero chance to leave Tampa, Florida with the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules.
JoMo has the look, his moves are really solid, but he was always lacking in the personality, charisma, and mic skills. When he and Miz did their promos and vignettes it was Miz who carried the segments but is so good at it that he made JoMo look much better than he was in the process. Then there is his lack of backbone. While I went through a number of superstars who left the WWE for three to five years and have returned to much greater things, they are not the norm in this industry.
Most who return go the way of Batista and Goldberg, where they have a push, maybe a bit of excitement in the main event, but only because of how big they were previously. The mid-card players who return usually end up getting a bit of a push but end up jobbing in the end. As far as JoMo is concerned, I have to admit I have less faith in him than I did in any an all the other names here combined. This is one of my favorite weeks of the year. All rights reserved. And also that his contract is up and if Morrison is thinking about jumping to TNA they want to bury him as much as they can first. Good job, guys, seriously. John Morrison had such huge potential at one point in the WWE and he still gets a decent pop when he comes out for matches but WWE, a company who has superstars denouncing bullying regularly, is the biggest bully company of all and there doesn't seem to be much Morrison can do to overcome it.
We'll know his career is truly over if he is the jobber to Brodus Clay who promo's on recent weeks t. We need more writers about exclude and John Morrison!
